    Breaks during battles?

Could there be provisions for 5 minute breaks a few times between rounds during battles? I'm sure it'd make a huge difference for commanders and squad leaders who have to play round after round.

Even expanding that to three ten minute breaks at the two hour marks, offset by having the battle going for another 30 minutes? That's a good time for people who are in it for the long haul to not die of DVT and give gaming a bad rep

Yeah i think a 5-10 minute halftime break or quarterly breaks would definitely help. Many of us are playing the entire battle. Good idea plasma.

    I totally agree.
I hate hiding my character in a bush so I can go to the bathroom.

10 minutes every 2-3 rounds depending on round lengths would be ideal.
It would also help the team that's behind get it together.

This is also a huge point. Whilst obviously a battle is meant to be continuous and spur-of-the-moment, it can make a HUGE difference for mood, fun, and the ability for command to step back, have a breather, then come back to the board with a few minutes to see why they're failing and get into it with a fresh attitude.

At the risk of being shot for treason, Axis's favorite strategy is: "Same orders!".
Then we all go take a pee.

    Hardly seems fair does it?

    Re: Breaks during battles?

I thing a recess is extremely important in the gameplay as it gives the opportunity to think better and regain the momentum after a very long play..so i guess a break would be a great idea.

    Re: Breaks during battles?

So any action on this? A 5, or even 3 minute break for every hour of play (without stopping mid-round of course) would be a very welcome thing.

That time being in addition to the "planning" phase pre-spawn.

    Re: Breaks during battles?

I support the idea of mini breaks every few rounds for a few minutes.
The first few hours of the battle is full of vigor, even if one side is dominating.
After about the 3 or 4th hour things go quiet, too quiet.
TS chatter dies, CC become nonexistent and the battle becomes a grind.

Taking a 10 minute break after the 3rd round and then every 3rd round afterward will benefit everyone by allowing a few minutes to replenish energy their brains have burned up during the previous 3 rounds.
As a muscle group, the brain is always engaged and like all muscles it needs to be fed and time to stretch between exertions.
While there may not be a lot of active thought during the fight, the muscle memory, instincts and alertness involved all work the brain regardless of what one is consciously aware of.
Add the intensity of competitive play as opposed to pub play and the brain eats proteins and sugars like a ravenous beast.

I would advise against eating anything heavy but a quick snack of a sandwich, cheese and crackers, candy bar or some other such high protein, high sugar snack should do.
The time taken to get the snack and do whatever else you need to do while taking the break is best spent by letting your mind wander free from the game and taking your physical form away from your computer entirely to allow the brain and body a moment of relaxation.

There is no harm in trying it to test my statements which I assert will help keep the minds and bodies engaged throughout the entire battle.
The system of rest and energy replenishment to maintain optimal performance works in every other form of activity, to think that it wouldn't work in video gaming isn't thinking at all.

    Relativity isn't a theory, it's a fact.
