So, a while ago, my laptop decided it would use up my battery even when it was plugged in. I thought it was the AC adapter and replaced it. No good, still wouldn't boot.
So, I replaced the battery. It booted up, and proceeded to eat the charge on that battery and shut down.
So, to sum it up, my laptop will not run on AC power at all. It says it's charging, both in Windows (when I got it to boot briefly) and with the indicator light on the laptop, but the battery never gets charged.
I'm at my wits end, having already sunk $200+ on "logical" repairs that did NOTHING.

Any ideas?

No wonder it's broken;)

You've tried everything i'd try. Can't really think of anything else other than there just being something plain wrong that can't be fixed!

Sound like a connection problem between the AC adapter and the Battery (no sh*t :).

You're a repairman so open it up and search your way from where you plug in the AC adapter to the battery connectors, that's what i would've done.
