So I've had this problem before. My computer crashed, and currently my CPU is clocked at 200 mhz. It's an AMD Athlon 3700+ 64 bit

Also, only half of my RAM is being read by the bios, but DxDiag says it's all there.

update, RAM is a-okay.

CPU still slow as mollases on Christmas eve

What multiplier are you running at?

As far as I can see, the processor should run at 2.2GHz and thus your multiplier should be 11. Also, have you tried jumping the CMOS?

I suggest Grunty buys a Mac, it doesnt look like he has the capacity to use a real man's computer :idea:

Well AFAIK, a lot of mobos don't have anything below a certain multi like x4 or x8. And if you are reading the FSB in your BIOS, just crank it up as high as it goes, bump the multi up to max, and remove the heatsink from your CPU:p
