Most Annoying in Guam

Battleship bugs.

I was commanding the Prince of Wales one round, steaming along quite pleasantly. Suddenly my bow launches 40ft into the air and the Yamato materialises out of thin air underneath me (and no, I was not at the Axis ship spawn).

Stupid "Chihuahua" tin-can they call a tank :(
Being assigned to fetch them from Axis base to E4 for about 2 hours drove me almost crazy. :silly:
Took me about 1,5 minute to get there, just to get shot by a Sherman 1 click away with one shot. Well it let me fire a few rounds at him first just for laughs befor it bothered to aim it's turret at me.

the lag that occured when the POW shot at the island and those bloody rufes. Almost impossible to take them out whith the AA.

I have several votes.

Firstly the lag and rubberbanding. No fun when you can´t get a stolen Chi-ha out of the enemy main base.

Secondly the BS guns. I froze also Santoro and had to press reset. Then I didn´t touch the big one anymore. :D

Thirdly Dutch Marine who was always awaiting our raid for the northern flag and picked me up with his type 99 a thousand times.

the lag. Being in the watchtower in the valley flag, looking down on 5 allies that had just capped the flag, now where standing close together and not being able to switch to grenades because of lag - :tantrum:

Takeing the trouble to get cloud spot, print them out and then told out of the def gun,my CPU is pathic and if i go anywhere near the front lines,i cant move,so IMO the people with the faster frame rates and faster computers should be on the front lines,.....paradrop on 1......freeze

1. Rubber banding when the ships were close together near the island.
2. The short range of the AT weapons (realistic, but still annoying)

Taking out Chi Has with various forms of attack (Bazooka, Exp Pack, Sherman) and 2 out of 5 Chi Has I got a teamkill.

Why?

Dunsinanes fetish with crawling next to enemy Chi Has and seemingly not doing anything :)

Taking screenshots is not constituted as nothing  , and my Thompson wasn't very effective. Actually, the best thing to do is to crawl on the tank, and shoot all the Panzerschrek troops because you know they can't shoot back.

The rubberbanding was annoying...but on the other hand it safed my virtual life more then once in yesterdays battle. It was pretty cool to warp into their flag, seeing allied soldiers and Shermans shooting at your direction but never hitting. :P

Rubberbanding and the shermans..

sherman vs chi-ha is like t34 vs tiger.. except it was 1 sherman vs 1 chi-ha and not 3 t34 vs 1 tiger.

It would apply if we had 2-3 chi-has per sherman, but we didn't if anything you guys had more shermans.. I snuck up on shermans numerous times scoring direct hits to the rear and sides 3+ times.. the sherman would just rotate it's turret and kill me in one shot.

On Valirisk you guys had a huge number advantage in armor but you didn't use it. I never saw more then 3 or 4 t34s advance together the whole battle.. when you guys had at least 7, including 2 or 3 t34-85s which can kill a tiger in 1 hit if you know where to shoot. We had 3 PzIVH and 1 Tiger. That's 1 tank per PzIVH and 4 for the tiger.

I was one-hit killed by a Chi-Ha while I was piloting a Sherman at least twice, so the T-34/Tiger analogy isn't quite accurate :P

Late reply, but I only just read this specific part.

Perhaps you should ask Briggz and -Service- for some tips, they were doing a pretty good job of 2-shot killing our Shermans with good positioning.

EDIT - Also, I'm getting pretty tired of the Chi-Ha/Sherman situation being compared to Valirisk, so I've just worked up a complete armour breakdown considering every factor possible including terrain/infantry and so on, comparing Valirisk to the Pacific Chi-Ha/Sherman scenarios. Any Axis who is feeling lost without German tanks and thinks you're worse off, then pm me, I'll send you the breakdown (it's flame free), and you'll think again.

You guyz must also consider that rubberbanding and lag sometimes causes this strange thing, that your hit indicator was on but the hit doesn´t count for some odd reason.

I had that several times, when I was stealing chi-has from the axis main. Sometimes there was a chi-ha coming after me, or passing me. I stood still and fired like 3 shots, one to the front, two on the sied and tracks and the thing didn´t even smoke.

Sometimes it´s just bad luck :D
