Being under the command of Davout for three campaigns in a row, as my captain in IR of D11, General of the undefeated D15, CiC of the D19/J21 and following him at Global Conflict as captain of the marines, my preference is obvious I think

Ringo, Kampion, Blacksheep, Chavez[CDN], and of course, Davout.

Wow so hard too just single out one and well I cannot. So I list as follows:

Axis:
1. Davout

2. Kommisar

3. Kampion

4. Swedish Chef

Allies:

1. Avro Jet

2. Glen

I cant add anymore too allies cause my experince is very limited too playing on this side. Again I think all those in my above list have made an impact on WaW in one way or another.

PMak22
01-25-2004, 07:50 PM
Davout and Kommisar [J13], [J17] of course. And Kampion, who could ever forget hearing these people yell on the mic for getting a flag. Hmm but where is Davout and Kampion now, hmm well I just had a look over at Global Conflict and guess who's officers over there :x Davout and Kampion, why the heck aren't you guys still here. I can't belive you guys went to GC omg. :arg:

Phantom
01-25-2004, 08:25 PM
I disagree yelling over the mic is usually a last resort for someone who hasnt the best control over his soldiers or best strats. I find yelling over the mic to be offensive to 99% of players here, and it's a thing we can do without, just my opioion.

yea i have to agree, davout.

I cant really remember anytimes that the axis lost while he was commanding.

And he stayed up countless times from 7PM to 7AM in greece yelling over the mic in his heavy accent... ahh those were the days :D

H62|Cp Tharos
01-26-2004, 02:30 AM
hhmmmm....I'm Greek, maybe I should change my vote, lol. It's the legendary Greek commanders trait! or luck .

01-26-2004, 02:40 AM
Davout, no question, D15 was great. Funny to listen to him talk to himself too. Kampion was very good as well, but he was a different type of FC, but still got the message through.

[J13]Tiankoom
01-26-2004, 04:38 AM
Speaking of accents...
If you like the Southern-laid back-Tennessee accent, Kommi is the guy for you.
If you like the hard Greek aggressive style and tone, then Davout is the choice.

2 completely different styles of FKng, from 2 opposites part of the world. :D

Malaka!

01-26-2004, 09:14 AM
After playing here from the start I have to say that the best comander I have fought with would have to be Davout, must admit he really got on my tits at the start but he knew how to get the job done and wasnt affraid to talk on TS. I have played with some comanders who rarely spoke on TS and thats not really good enough.

Kommisar would be second in my book.

[42MKR]RCT.Zodiak
01-26-2004, 11:35 AM
Splooge has made the biggest impression on me, but that might be because it was my first campaign and everything was so new.
Though i'd have to admit that Kommisar comes close, with Davout closely behind.

06-05-2006, 04:06 AM
There can only be one... KOMMISAR! I remember battles when J17 was falling apart under allied pressure.. Kommi would come on there with that thick american accent and start calmly directing troops towards victory. It was something to witness lemme tell ya'll.. lol. But yeah.. Kommi for sure!

I think I would say Avro, because of the amount and the quality of it during WaW 8.

Avro gets my vote. Brought about that amazing comeback in WAW8 tobruk and was one of the hardest fighting BFCOs I've served under. Amazing guy really.

Glen and Avro, back in #4, #5 and Allies legendary #6. And from what little I've seen from DDJP, he's pretty amazing too. Lots of good talent nowadays too, but as for many others here it's my early campaigns which are magic.

On Company commanding my vote is on JUSTICE, with cb99 as the runner up. (But that's off topic I know  )

Davout was my first in WAW 5, he knew how to lead and adjust to battlefield tactics...a true general
Then Glen...the Pansy...by then I knew what was going on ...he was a great leader and motivator
Petru + Vodka, some memorable moments..Petru made you angry enough to fight a Pit Bull...and win
Avrojet...calm in a sea of confusion
BFCO-Uh oh...I...I Pooped my Poopiepants

Never got to have Kommi as a CINC/General, but have had the pleasure of his BFCOing and the man is steady and leads by example.

Trexor...always been there, like a virus, just below the surface, awaiting to errupt. He's always where the enemy least expects him. A patient leader who can exploit the enemy's week points and command a victory.

All in all, each campaign has had its leader(s) step forward and its been a blast (either pissin em off, making em estatic or just doing what they say needs be done) :salute: to all who have taken the mantle and responsibility...This post does not include the present CINC and Staff

PS.In retrospect WAW 6 Division: Avro, Glen, Trexer, Wiretap and Blacksheep were probably one of the most memorable and in my mind best because 1st Allied Victory all the way to Berlin...Robbo as Capt, Sauron and DanCt, Phantom and the rest of the Royal Marines, it still sticks out as one of the most engaging campaigns I played. That said, Adm. Pansy Glenn would be my selection...the pansy! :salute:
